Why Your LED Screen Content Looks Bad (And What to Plan First)

When the wall is installed and someone loads a standard 16:9 corporate video onto a display with a completely different shape, the result looks bad. The wall is usually fine. The Deeper Problem: We Measure the Wrong Number
Everything I'd read about LED walls said pixel pitch was the beginning and the end. In practice, I found the opposite. Pixel pitch matters, but only in relation to viewing distance and content. Most buyers focus on pixel pitch and completely miss content mapping, scaling, and the human eye's tolerance. The question everyone asks is, what's the screen's resolution? The question they should ask is, what is the content canvas?

It's not the price of the screen that hurts. It's the price of fixing the thing you didn't plan.

What Works: Build the Content Canvas First

That means writing down the physical dimensions, the shape, the viewing distance, and the master content resolution. I ask the creative team to describe the composition in pixels. Does it need to wrap around a corner? Is there text that must stay legible from a specific distance? What are the safe margins? Those questions feel basic, but they're the ones that prevent expensive surprises.
