Custom LED Display Solutions: Where Hidden Fees Hide

For any custom LED display solution, the real question isn't "how much per square meter?" It's "what's not included?" I've learned to ask that before asking for the price. The most useful answer reveals whether the vendor has actually thought through your application—or just wants to win a race to the bottom.

Color accuracy is another hidden cost that only shows up after you sign. For brand-critical work—say, matching a car brand's paint on a showroom wall—the industry benchmark is Delta E < 2, per Pantone Color Matching System guidelines. A transparent quote includes calibration and a color acceptance test before delivery. The cheap quote treats it as "additional services." Cheap quotes will treat it as "more panels" until the structural drawing arrives with a change order attached. And don't let high resolution dazzle you. For a wall viewed from 15 feet away, a P3.9 pixel pitch is fine; paying extra for P1.2 only makes sense for arm's-length viewing. The logic is similar to print resolution standards: you need around 300 DPI for close-up print, but 150 DPI is fine for something viewed from a distance.
